It meant putting up with funny hats your parents put on you

if that's what it takes to finally get out of the house after being cooped up all week with a cough.

It meant getting to see cousins and comparing costumes.

It meant tasty treats, of which she had more than any child under the age of one should have.

It meant going out in public to parties and stores and restaurants

and letting strangers dote on her cuteness.

But mostly it meant way too many pictures. "Seriously, Mom?" I may have turned her off to the holiday too.

Poor kid.

Dressing kids up is fun. I think that this strawberry needs a mustache. Kids look really funny with mustaches.
ReplyDeleteLove the costume. She is getting pretty close to 1! wow!
ReplyDeleteCuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Wish we could have taken her picture with our banana. Also, happy birthday Ellie!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that is the CUTEST costume. Ellie is adorable!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat costume is great--where did you get that? She is so photogenic. Awesome, awesome pictures.
ReplyDeleteMindy, I got the costume at a consignment sale. It was too big, but pretty hard to pass up for $5. Since it was so big on Ellie, it kind of made her look even more bald, so definitely needed a hat. After some very bad ideas for a bonnet out of red felt failed, Mom came to the rescue and crocheted the little strawberry hat.
